Q: How do I make a Northstar Vacation Rental reservation

Q: How is my reservation confirmed
A: A Reservation Deposit of 50% of the rent, tax, cleaning and reservation fees must be given with a major credit card at the time of the reservation.  Back to Top

Q: How do I pay for this deposit
A: A major credit card such as Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. Back to Top

Q: When is the full payment due?
A: One month prior to occupancy the remainder of the rent, tax, cleaning and reservation fees are due.  Please refer to the contract for the exact date. Back to Top

Q: May I cancel my Northstar vacation rental reservation
A: Reservations may be cancelled and the reservation fee refunded, less a $50 service charge, with written notice. This written notice must be received by Trident Holdings vacation rentals thirty-one days or more before the arrival date.  
All Reservation Deposits and rents will be forfeited if the cancellation falls within the one month time period prior to arrival.  If Trident Holdings is able to rent the condominium/home to another party, there will be a refund, less the $50 service charge.
If a renter does not occupy a condominium/home for the total number of days for which he contracted and paid, renter will forfeit his rent for that same number of days.  If those rental days can be re-booked, renter will be reimbursed.

CANCELLATION POLICY DUE TO ROAD CLOSURE:
There will be no Northstar Vacation Rental refunds given for any days the roads are closed making it impossible for the renter to reach the destination.  A purchase of Trip Cancellation Insurance is advised if this is a concern.

TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE:
To help protect your vacation from unforeseen circumstances, Trident Holdings Vacation Rentals can provide a brochure from "Travelex Insurance Services".  Travelex Insurance can be purchased by mail or phone (with a credit card).  Benefits and services include: 1) Trip cancellation/interruption; 2) Medical expenses; 3) Baggage; 4) Twenty-four hour telephone worldwide assistance.  Please call if you have any questions regarding this policy.  Back to Top

Q: What are Trident Holdings rental rates?

Q : How do I gain admittance to the Northstar home or condominium
A: After full payment has been received, a packet will be sent by mail containing a map, and either a key or lockbox combination to the Northstar home or condominium. Back to Top

Q: What do I need to bring
A: Only your personal effects since all accommodations are fully furnished with bed and bath linens, complete kitchen equipment and enough soap and paper products to get you started comfortably. Back to Top

Q: Do any rentals allow smoking
A: No, they are all non-smoking. Back to Top

Q: May I bring my pet
A: Unfortunately, no pets are allowed. Back to Top

Q: When will my deposit be returned?
A: Within fourteen business days of your stay. Back to Top

Q: For what reasons might I forfeit all or part of my deposit?
A: The major credit card you give Trident Holdings Vacation Rentals may be charged if there is damage, which occurs in your unit during your stay.  Additionally, if you charge any long distance phone calls to a unit's phone - you will be billed not only for the phone call, but a $25 handling fee for the time and paperwork this entails.  You will be notified before any such charges are run on your card. Q: Do the Northstar Vacaton Rentals have TV's, VCR's and other amenities
A: All homes have TV's and VCR's and many have CD and DVD players, as well. Back to Top

Q: Are there restaurants close to Northstar?
A: Northstar has three restaurants on site. There are many other restaurants nearby: Truckee and the North Shore of Lake Tahoe have several outstanding restaurants. Back to Top

Q: How far away is Lake Tahoe and Kings Beach from Northstar?
A: Approximately six miles. Back to Top

Q: Is there gaming close to the Northstar at Tahoe resort?
A: Gaming is just a few minutes on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. Also Reno is only a thirty minuet drive, weather permitting. Back to Top

Q: Are there grocery stores within close proximity to the Northstar resort?
A: Safeway and Lucky's are located in both Truckee and Kings Beach, only about six miles from the Northstar resort. Back to Top
